How can it be so hard to learn how to knit when the Internet exists? I know exactly what kind of instructions I want - I want a camera between someone’s hands so that it looks as if I’m the one knitting telling me how to patterns other than the very basic one I already know. It seems oddly impossible to find exactly what I want - knitting websites either exist to sell yarn, to talk about other people’s creations, or to show very unclear drawings that I could find in a book at my local library.
As of now, I can make scarves and blankets with one kind of stitch. I’d love to get more in depth and start knitting hats and gloves, and I’d love to learn to crochet as well, but unless you know someone who’s good at it already or you’re very good at deciphering those drawings in basic knitting books, you’ll probably find it as difficult to find a good website or podcast as I have. If anyone has any knitting sites, shows, or podcasts, I’d definitely appreciate some guidance!
