Bad Habits
One of my worst “habits” is my inability to focus when I’m wearing pajamas. I woke up today fully intending to read the first chapter of my psychology book and prepare for the two exams I have in that class, but I never got around to changing out of my pajamas.
I’ve always been like this, it was one of the reasons I did so badly doing online classes when I lived in Greece....

Science, science, & science.
I am dissecting a cat this quarter. I feel a little sad, but mostly excited cause it’ll be the first proper dissection I’ve done since we did frogs in 8th grade. I witnessed the dissection of a dolphin that was washed up on a local beach - my marine biology class got the chance to see the autopsy to discover why it died (it was only a few months old), but I didn’t get to actually...

A’s in all 4 classes! Psych 100, Nursing Assistant & AIDS Education, Statistics, & Bio 211. So, so, so happy.
Next quarter is Microbiology, Human Anatomy & Physiology I, and Lifespan Psychology. Lots of sciencey classes, we’ll see how my brain handles it. Not to mention, my A&P class is on the main campus of my school which means an hour commute Tuesday, Thursday, and...

Old Poems
Sometimes I feel a little silly when I look through my old poems & short stories from a few years ago, but they also provide a bit of a diary of my life. I was just looking around some of my old poetry and found a poem I wrote after a semi-relationship fell apart a few years ago and I felt so sorry for my old self. I want to hug her and tell her that it all works out, she finds an amazing...

No Prayers for Japan?
Over the past few days, after reading comments on YouTube videos regarding the devastation in Japan, I’ve been pretty disgusted with some people’s reactions. Some say that Japan deserved it, which is just shockingly ignorant and hateful alone, but there are others who are basically saying that the #prayforJapan phrase that’s been on Twitter, in blogs, on YouTube, is pointless.

The Internet
So this morning I wake up to some texts from friends and a Facebook message from Holly telling me to be safe and saying something about a tsunami.
My reaction: Huh? I know it was windy last night and everything, but a tsunami? Really?
So I opened up Tumblr on my phone and saw pictures of the devastation in Japan, mapping out the path of a tsunami, reading about tsunami warnings in Hawaii, the...

Tomorrow is insanely busy
Just thought I’d put that out there. I have no idea how I’m gonna get everything done that has to be done.
At least it’s a Thursday, which means weekend starts as soon as I’m out of my biology lab on Thursday night. Two exams due this weekend & an exam tomorrow evening, plus finals week is coming up.
Lots of studying coming up, but it’ll all be worth it, if I...
